Per Newtons III law :: Inflation is good too

Like me, I understand that all of u must b hearing of rocking drum of Inflation. Though it seems to be the biggest problem at hand for and it is. Havin said that, there are some gud points that are coming to mind -

First ..What exactly this inflation means.
As far as I understand, it is the YoY% increase in prices of basic commodities like wheat, rice, oil etc. Now the question is, who
determines these prices. Currently bcaz of non-availability of timely market rate of comodities, r country is still following the use
decades old method of "Whole sale price Index" of the week which is 2 week old of today.

Now apart frm all the other bad things abt inflation, the things that creates a diff view in ma mind are -

1) A rising inflation probably a well advertised one gives ample opportunities to SELLERS to raise their prices. eg : If something as basic as a Veg Thali (Rs 40 to Rs 50) got a price increase of abt 25%. While this increase in is completely
justified ..seeing an inflaton figure of abt 10%. But what will happen if inflation settles down to say abt 6% by nxt month or so. Do u think that anybody is going to reduce their prices... NO NO NOOOOOOOOOo. All in all ... a pinch for a month ....
a massage for lifetime for sellers.

2) As per Indian govt, majority of ..not so rich people are farmers... I don find any reason ..why high inflation will not fetch them a better amount for their produce. Though I also agree that the middlemen will be more benefitted.

3) Last but most important, Inflation is the best thing .. to make people learn .. the value of precious resources like oil, food etc.

I feel that Inflation is not gud but its NOT THAT BAD either. Its just the lower middle class that is hit most..who are mostly on fixed salaries .. which in fact comes to pressure for a reduction. The rich increses their their prices of products from their factories. The poor also.. follows the same path of fetching more for their produce or services.

What ur say is?

Carbon Trading : The new tune.

U know. Whats makes the rich wealthy n middle class the poorer. It seems to me like ..government feeds the cow first four years, rich fetches the milk next 5 yrs, the poor follows the rich n buys that cow from rich and feeds his lifetime getting the residual little of the poor old cow.

The above line follows the new cow of rich .. Carbon Trade.
Carbon Trade is basically the "Trading the credits of pollution". The business emerged after developed/polluted countries, in order
to improve their environment.. put forward a policy to control the pollution. The most imp initiative of these has been the
"KYOTO PROTOCOL".Now since, becaz of stricter laws in US n like .. their big MNCs need to limit their pollution component as per
limits by the govt. Heavy polluting business like steel, coal fired power stations are in fuss.. because it is not possible for them
to improve the their business technology so easily and its a v heavy proposition. Now what the KYOTO PROTOCOL says that .. if u are
polluting too much.. what u can do is "BUY CARBON CREDITS" from the less polluting companies.

This carbon trading is putting type of pressure on dev countries.. like India. As n when all poor countries once sign this protocol,
their old tech based industries either have to buy credits from these high tech foreign companies or they need to update thier tech,
which is again almost owned/patented by these MNCs. hahhahah that means .. they come .. they compete.. they make u lose ... n they rule.

Currently, these carbon credits are being traded on stock exchnages liek oil. The one in Chicago is the father of this commodity trading
and a latest such carbon trading exchange is coming to India by Sep 08.

Todays movie : Pranali

Movie watching seeming to to be my best timepass these days .. when u have nothing to do after coming from office at 5 and before the market opens at 11 CST. So as of my regular schedule, I searched for some new movie available (online-pirated :( bhejafry.net), n found ..'Sarkaar Raj' and a new 'Pranali'. Being in hapit of going agaist the majority..opted for Pranli today .. with my usual peg of rum and sunflower seeds.

First n foremost...I liked the name .."Pranali".. that Goolgle says means "'True to tradition'"

The movie is about a girl story whose fate brings her into the wrong hands .. n finally to the oldest business on (un)human kind. The cast was gud 7/10, but the direction .. a 4/10 :( .

The story goes ahead with her struggle to raise her voice abt legalising of prostiutution. The story reminded me of the movie 'WATER' which left me night awake..thinking abt the times and that day I felt like ..we are now much better .. but today again..I think theres much to do...before a gal can be as happy as all, when she is not considered a burden, when she can live her own life n not as per other (family ..husband ...etc)

The way the story has been said.. made me think .. is legaling such issues...prostitution,betting etc .. isn't a better way of dealing things. Atleast the scale of the problem will be known to all, atleast the people will not do them undercovers and will be governed by mafia's or better say politicians. This makes me think why government raise taxes forcibly from peoples income or other basic items: Why not raise taxes (better called legal hafta) from the activities which people are willing to pay for. I think this is all for the want of keeping a class of people at lower level ..unpoverished .. so that higher class can use their services cheaply and foreever.

m still thinking .. abt this.........all in all ..I like the movie 6/10.

my way for ...Delhi makeover

De-congesting Delhi:

Being fed up of reading emerging problems of a city like Delhi, the demolition drives, the sealing issues, the VIP route issues, the high profile office security issues, the money spent on VIP security .. blah blah ..

The major issue with all these problems is the growing need of central downtown area available in Delhi. Everyone from residents to markets to banks wants to have their establishment out there in the downtown. They carry with them a lot of traffic/parking/visitors, creating chaos. The govt is trying its bit by following the New York like model .. Spreading city suburbs .. promoting places like noida/ggn by creating an NCR. The solution seems to be good but this requires a lot of movement - movement to factories/ residents etc.. which is what is creating tension.
Just thought of some ways, that my upper control can think of -

Govt alone holds more than 40% of total Delhi prime land for its ventral offices/staff services etc. This 40 % makes the cost of property owned by Govt to about 20 Lakh Crores. We want to decongest Delhi by planning for those 10-15% area being used as residential/SSIs and these are those who has been living/working there for there full life.

My take is -
1) Why Govt wants to shift people out of Delhi which are just 10% space consumers.
2) Why dont Govt shift itself out of Delhi and create some suburbs for itself. Its far more easier to move people to work at a diff place than moving their residences.
3) Most of the govt offices are of British Era. Relocating them with all stateof art office at a new place makes more sense to me than keep them repairing in those unmanageable areas.
4) Huge money 20Lcrore + which it has as from Delhi land is far more higher than is required to develop a new city like Noida. The new govt office suburbs can be planned to provide highest level of security layers, there by ensuring their safety and reduction of huge amt being spent on their security individually. They will all new designed and managed as per the latest requirement.
5) We are creating a whole lot of new things like commonwealth games village again inside the city .. which is again gonna create issues just 5-10 yrs down the line .. ie .. theere will again plans to migrate those to new space ... What a waste of our money.
6) Once these centers are established they will become new center of growth.
7) Last n not least, this activity is going to generate employement for millions of people

thanda.... Thanda Paani

A while ago , I came back home in a damn summer morning. I was feeling very thirsty that time but to my bad luck, I didn’t found single bottle of water in my 320 ltr fridge. I was just frustrated of, whats the use of that power consuming machine.

iFacts :
1) In an avg middle class home 80% use of Refrigerator is just cooling water in summers.
2) The water cooling facility is just 10% of what it provides. What a demand-supply mismatch.
3) All the major appliance designs have been copies from the west which suit their requirement, which are very diff from India which is still way behind them.
4) More than 70% of times a fridge is opened for water bottle, and every time it is opened, ur power consumption goes up.

Thoughts :
1) Why cant a company like Godrej can provide a separate section like freezer that can act like a water-cooler, automatically filling and refreshing itself each day.
2) Why there been no major design investion in last decades, only changes have been the inner tech ones, which none of ud understands.. and seems to me as a big marketing fraud.
3) Is it all not possible in just 10% of more cost (a sub-15k amt)
